These are our editorial picks. They are based on the 1.0 skill data (what each build can stack), how much each build relies on aim and timing, and early community consensus from the first days after launch. A B-tier build is still fully viable. The tiers are about how much value you get for the effort.

How to choose your Enshrouded 1.0 build
Enshrouded has no fixed classes. Every character shares one skill tree with three branches: the Mage tree (Wizard, Battlemage, Healer, Trickster), the Warrior tree (Tank, Warrior, Barbarian, Athlete) and the Ranger tree (Ranger, Assassin, Beastmaster, Survivor). A "build" is the path you take through it. These questions will get you to the right Enshrouded 1.0 build quickly.
1. Do you play solo or in co-op?
Solo players want builds that can take a hit and heal themselves. The Battlemage blocks with a ward while casting, and the Summoner lets minions and totems hold enemies. In a group, a dedicated Healer or Tank is worth far more, because skills like Water Aura, Earth Aura, Nemesis and Martyr affect everyone nearby.
2. Melee, ranged or magic?
- Magic scales with Intelligence (+5% magic damage per point). Choose the Wizard for big staff spells, the Battlemage for wand-and-ward fighting, or the Summoner for the new 1.0 Hollow allies and totems.
- Melee scales with Strength (+5% melee damage per point). Choose the two-handed Warrior for heavy hits or the Tank for shields, parries and Merciless Attacks.
- Ranged scales with Dexterity (+5% bow and dagger damage per point). Choose the Ranger for bows and headshots or the Assassin for daggers, sneak attacks and poison.
3. How much do you want to practice?
The Battlemage, Summoner, Tank and Healer are rated Easy: forgiving and strong without perfect timing. The Wizard, Ranger and Warrior are Medium, and they reward good positioning, aim or attack timing. The Assassin is Hard: it has the biggest opener in the game (Sneak Attack deals +900% damage) but little armor.
4. Plan your points before you spend them
1.0 reset everyone's tree, and a fully explored level 50 character has 212 points. That is roughly a third of the 675 points the whole tree would cost. Every guide links to the skill tree planner with the build already loaded, so you can see where the points go and change any skill before you commit.
Enshrouded 1.0 builds FAQ
What is the best build in Enshrouded 1.0?
Our S-tier picks are the Battlemage (wand and ward) and the Summoner. Both are safe, self-sufficient and get the most from the new 1.0 skills, such as Blast and Cast, Wand Evasion Attack, Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery. Every build on this site is viable at level 50. The tier list ranks how much value you get for the effort.
What is the best solo build in Enshrouded 1.0?
The Battlemage and the Summoner. The Battlemage can block and parry with a ward while dealing ranged magic damage, and the Summoner lets Hollow allies and totems take the hits. The Healer and Tank are strongest in co-op, because skills like Earth Aura, Nemesis and Martyr help a group.
Did Enshrouded 1.0 reset the skill tree?
Yes. Keen Games' 1.0 changelog says the skill tree is reset the first time you load an existing save in 1.0, so every character gets all of its points back to spend again.
How many skill points do you get at level 50?
212 in total if you collect every Shroud Root and Elixir Well: 2 points per level after level 1 (98 points), plus 114 points from exploring all seven biomes.
Can I mix skills from different classes?
Yes. Enshrouded has one shared skill tree. Any character can take any skill as long as it connects to a skill they already have, so hybrid builds such as a Battlemage with Healer nodes are normal.
Which attribute should I level?
Match it to your weapon. Each point of Intelligence adds 5% magic damage, Strength adds 5% melee damage and Dexterity adds 5% bow and dagger damage. Constitution adds 50 health, Spirit adds 20 mana and Endurance adds 10 stamina per point.
How we build these guides
Enshrouded 1.0 launched on October 15, 2026 and reset every skill tree. Many guides you will find online were written for Early Access numbers. For every build on this site:
- Skill names, costs, max levels and effects come from the 1.0 game data export (game build 1267041), not from memory.
- Skill orders are generated as connected paths through the real tree, and their point totals are checked against what you can earn at that level.
- Patch facts are quoted from Keen Games' official 1.0 changelog. Item facts come from the community wiki (CC BY-SA). Anything we could not verify is marked as unverified.
